SDEA wins award for contributions to energy efficiency

The Swiss Datacenter Efficiency Association shines on sustainability in London. 

The Swiss Datacenter Efficiency Association, a non-profit consortium founded in 2020 by EcoCloud founder Prof. Babak Falsafi, has won the award for "Special contribution to improving energy efficiency" at last week's Data Centre World ceremony in London.

SDEA seeks to achieve higher energy efficiency standards, to reduce the impact on the environment and climate, by putting in place the ultimate litmus test for this data centers.

Since July 2024 all companies operating data centers, or renting a space for their servers, have been able register and use the SDEA’s energy efficiency calculator, with the option to apply for certification.
