SACLA RIKEN 1.2 Angstrom X-Ray Laser

Second X-Ray laser produced coherent light at 10 keV photon energy.
The SACLA X-Ray laser project at the RIKEN Harima Institute produced first light on June 7, 2011. The SASE Free Electron Laser based on 8 GeV linear accelerator became the second X-Ray laser in the world. Under construction or awaiting approval are European XFEL in Hamburg, SwissFEL at PSI and Korean XFEL in Pohang.
