Read & Publish agreement with Wiley 2025-2027

As part of the Swiss national strategy on Open Access, swissuniversities, on behalf of the Swiss Higher Education Institutions, and Wiley signed a second Read & Publish agreement (2025-2027), covering Wiley's entire journal portfolio.
After a contract-less period at the beginning of the year, and continued negotiations in the following months, the new agreement with the scientific publisher Wiley finally comes into force at EPFL and other Swiss participating universities.
EPFL affiliated corresponding authors can publish in Open Access at no additional cost in approximately 1’900 journals. The EPFL community will also have a full reading access to this wide portfolio.
The agreement also explicitly regulates the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in connection with licensed content and guarantees members of Swiss higher education institutions the greatest possible flexibility in the use of AI tools to analyse Wiley publications in research, teaching and innovation.
