After eight years of existence, the bike-sharing system is getting redisigned at the EPFL, UNIL and Lausanne/Morges!

From August 28, stations on the EPFL-UNIL campus will be closed in order to conduct the necessary renovation work. As of this date, passes for EPFL students and staff members will not be valid on the whole Lausanne/Morges network.

During the month of September, the old bikes will be removed and the stations will be dismantled to make way for the new system. From October 4, PubliBike will run some tests on the campus with selected users.

The bike-sharing network will reopen on November 30 with a new station in front of the ELL building (route J.-D. Colladon). Most of the new bikes will be equipped with electrical assistance, and all of them with a smartlock controlled through smartphone or the CAMIPRO card.

Passes for the EPFL community will offer 60 minutes free on each rental and they will be valid on PubliBike’s national network.

Registration procedure and detailed information will be announced later.
