Programme EssentialTech and the GlobalDiagnostiX project were presented on the Swiss Radio (RTS La 1ère, CQFD).
Several members of the alliance, from the University of Applied Sciences (HES-SO) and from EPFL explained the challenge of developing a diagnostic imaging system adapted to the context of developing countries.
Klaus Schönenberger, leader of the EssentialTech program, described the rationale and importance of developing technologies while taking into account how they will be manufactured, deployed, and used by people in developing countries.
