Prof. Michaël Grätzel - Honorary Doctor Degree 2009

Prof. M. Grätzel has been awarded Honorary Doctor Degree by University of Hasselt, Belgium.

15.05.2009 We are pleased to inform that the Senate Authorities of the Univ. of Hasselt, Belgium has voted recently to confer a Honorary Doctor Degree ("Doctor/Laurea Honoris Causa) to Prof. Michael Grätzel for his seminal contributions in the area of Nanotechnology and its applications to energy conversion and storage. Prof. Grätzel will receive the degree later this summer at University of Hasselt.

Hasselt University is an independent, state-funded University located in the (Dutch speaking) Limburg Province of Belgium (north-eastern province of Flanders). University website: http://www.uhasselt.be/english/

Prof. Graetzel has received similar recognition (Dr Honoris Causa) earlier from the University of Uppsala (Sweden), Univ. of Torino (Italy) and Technical University of Delft (Netherlands).
