17.03.2010 Prof. Andrea Rinaldo (ECHO - Laboratory of Ecohydrology) was awarded the "Hydrology Days Award Lecturer" during the 30th Annual American Geophysical Union Hydrology Days, for "pathbreaking contributions to the field of ecohydrology by proposing a most innovative and creative linkage of water sciences, geomorphology and ecology through his work on river networks as ecological corridors for species, populations and pathogens of water-borne disease and the ensuing hydrologic controls on biodiversity and disease epidemics".
