Congratulations to Prof. Dominique Foray for winning the 2026 Grand Prix Turgot which honors the best book on economics of the year for his book "Innovations. Une économie pour les temps à venir".

This year, 130 books were in competition, with only 6 making it to the shortlist. The award was presented by Jean‑Claude Trichet (former President of the European Central Bank).

The 39th ceremony of the Prix Turgot took place at Bercy in front of an audience of more than 500 people from the worlds of economics and finance on March 23, 2026. The event featured the presentation of six awards competing for the Grand Prix, the Jury Prizes, and honorable mentions, as well as six Special Prizes.

The preliminary selection for the 2026 Turgot Grand Prix, drawn from 130 books published and reviewed by the Turgot Club in 2025, aims to provide an overview of contemporary economic issues. Each book addresses a dominant topic in current public debates: digital currencies, resource management, the transformation of work, the sustainability of the French social model, the reconstruction of the French economic and social model, as well as the new innovation economy (Dominique Foray's book "Innovations – Une économie pour les temps à venir").

The winning works were shortlisted by the Turgot Club and a Grand Jury chaired by Jean-Claude Trichet.

This prize is a remarkable recognition for the outstanding contribution of Dominique Foray's research to the future of innovation economics.
