Outstanding Student Paper Award - 2009 AGU Fall Meeting

Daniel Nadeau recently won the Outstanding Student Paper Award for his presentation at the 2009 Fall meeting of the American Geophysical Union (AGU) in San Francisco.

His talk, entitled “Large-Eddy Simulations of the Atmospheric Boundary Layer over Heterogeneous Land Surfaces”, was “recognized as among the best of a strong group of student presenters” in the AGU hydrology section. Daniel started his Ph.D. at the Environmental Fluid Mechanics Laboratory (EFLUM) in Sept. 2007 under the supervision of Prof. Marc Parlange. He has been studying since the complex interactions between the land surfaces and the lowest layer of the atmosphere.
