Niklaus Eggenberg wins the Best PhD Thesis Prize

The Swiss Operations Research Society has awarded the prize of the best PhD thesis to Niklaus Eggenberg.
Every three years, the Swiss Operations Research Society proposes a prize to reward an outstanding theoretical or applied Ph.D. Thesis in the field of Operations Research. The 2011 prize has been awarded to Niklaus Eggengerg. His thesis, entitled "Combining robustness and recovery for airline schedules" was supervised by Prof. Michel Bierlaire and Dr. Matteo Salani. Dr Eggenberg is now working for the company APM Technologies in Geneva.
