New Fulbright scholar at EESD laboratory

Aaron Appelle joins EESD with a Fulbright Scholarship for one year. He obtained his Bachelor of Science from the Columbia University (in New York) in Civil Engineering with excellent grades in May 2018 and will be conducting large-scale U-shaped wall tests in the structural engineering laboratory at EPFL. With these tests we continue our research on thin walls with a single vertical reinforcement layer, which are very common in many countries in South America.
