#NCCRWomen campaign unveils the portrait of Miriam Pougin

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of women obtaining the right of vote in Switzerland, the #NCCRWomen campaign has been proposing every week new portraits showing how women in Swiss research are changing the world!

One of the purpose is to widen the professional horizons of girls towards careers in research and to present them role models in the form of short videos.

Meet Miriam Pougin, PhD student in computational chemistry from NCCR MARVEL in the Laboratory of Molecular Simulation (LSMO) at EPFL Valais Wallis in Sion. Miriam describes the interactions between particles with the help of mathematical algorithms, to model materials on the computer.
