More than thirty new distinguished PhDs

At the end of last year, 30 new EPFL PhDs from 18 different doctoral programs received a "Doctoral Program Thesis Distinction".
Created four years ago, the "Doctoral Program Thesis Distinction" aims to highlight the research work of exceptional quality. For this fourth edition, 30 of the 385 doctoral candidates who defended their thesis over the academic year 2019-2020 have been awarded. These laureates received a certificate as well as an engraved pen offered by EPFL. As a reminder, doctoral programs are entitled to nominate 8% of their doctoral candidates who defended their thesis in the last twelve months. The commissions of each program then award the distinction.
