Michaël Unser receives 2020 EMBS Academic Career Achievement Award

Professor Michaël Unser, from the School of Engineering’s Biomedical Imaging Laboratory, has been awarded one of the most prestigious annual award given by the IEEE Engineering in Biology and Medicine Society.

He will receive a $1,500 USD honorarium for his work on “the development of mathematical tools and advanced algorithms for the analysis and reconstruction of images in medicine and biology.”

This award is given annually to individuals “for outstanding contribution and achievement in the field of Biomedical Engineering as an educator, researcher, developer, or administrator who has had a distinguished career of twenty years or more in the field of biomedical engineering”.
