LIPIDers set off to Champéry for a two-day retreat to chart the future course of the lab.

After the recent completion of four Phd theses, LIPIDers felt the need to take stock of their past body of work and future avenues of growth. Away from the campus, the crisp mountain air and a sunny wooden chalet in Champéry charged the group for an action packed weekend. We were able to have extended discussions and take multi-dimensional view of our aspirations as researchers. We enlisted competencies that we have built as a group versus new ones that we need to have. Nature of collaborations with other labs, teaching opportunities that would nurture our skill sets and outreach strategies were also shortlisted. The retreat was an opportunity to discuss work productivity related issues as well, ranging from the office space to server space.
