LEMR welcomes a new PhD student, Francesco Figura

Francesco is starting a PhD in friction.
Francesco will be working with the Highsteps apparatus, investigating a wide range of velocities and mapping the boundaries of rate and state friction. Francesco holds a masters degree in Geotechnical Engineering from the Politecnico di Torino. Francesco's PhD will be funded by an EU ERC grant entitled BEFINE. We wish him a warm welcome!
