Jevita Potheegadoo presents her latest research on mental health (hallucinations) and dementia in Parkinson’s disease at a France Parkinson webinar on March 9, 2026.

Jevita Potheegadoo spoke at the “Rendez-vous Recherche” webinar on March 9 (2026) organized by France Parkinson, one of the largest Parkinson’s organizations in Europe with around 12 000 members. Jevita talked about frequent hallucinations in Parkinson’s disease and their complex relationship to cognitive decline and dementia, highlighting both clinical observations and experimental research from our Lab using robotics and brain imaging.

The webinar attracted more than 400 participants live, reflecting strong interest from patients, caregivers, and the scientific community. The session provided an opportunity to share current research, raise awareness, and foster dialogue around cognitive and neuropsychiatric symptoms in Parkinson’s disease. She also touched upon ongoing technology developments allowing longitudinal and comfortable testing of patients remotely at their homes.

Jevita was accompanied by Mrs. Murielle Barat, a participant in our research studies diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease, who shared her personal experience and reflections on being involved in our research. Her testimony highlighted the crucial role of patient participation in shaping studies, advancing knowledge, and improving therapies.
