Years of research on energy geostructures at the laboratory of soil mechanics (LMS) culminate in the publication of a new book by Prof. Laloui and Prof. Rotta Loria, that condenses between its pages both theoretical essentials and recommendations for practical applications.

Prof. Lyesse Laloui, director of the soil mechanics laboratory (LMS) of EPFL, talks about energy geostructures during his interview with Anne Baecher at the RTS. This technology enables heat exchanges with the natural terrain, in order to both heat and cool buildings. Years of research on energy geostructures at the LMS culminate today in the publication of a new book by Prof. Laloui and Prof. Rotta Loria, that condenses between its pages both theoretical essentials and recommendations for practical applications. This new book “comprehensively summarizes the field, for which, Lausanne claims a world leadership”.
