Interviewed by the magazine Le Temps, Marilyne Andersen (LIPID) talks about the importance of research combining technology, sustainability and architecture.

Before the emergence of technology, architectural thinking was mainly based on resources economy, form and function. Today, thanks to unprecedented technological means, it is possible to envisage an architecture requiring less materials, while adding efficiency, rationality and aesthetics, with the aim of achieving a sustainable and attractive architecture. "The real success of a sustainable architecture is when you do not realize, from the outside, that it consumes little energy," says Marilyne Andersen. Among the activities at the heart of LIPID, advances in technology make it possible to provide additional information on traditional natural lighting and its potential for health and well-being, whether for future constructions or renovations.
