Michel Bierlaire receives the 2020 Impactful Research Award from the Zephyr foundation for his work on Biogeme
The Zephyr Foundation’s mission is to advance rigorous transportation and land use decision-making for the public good by advocating for and supporting improved travel analysis, and facilitating its implementation. They give the Impactful Research Award to an individual or team of researchers for a research project that has had the most [relatively recent] impact on bettering the travel analysis field for the public good.
The 2020 award has been attributed to Michel Bierlaire for his work on the Biogeme software package, used by travel demand researchers and professionals for the estimation of discrete choice models. Due to the cancellation of all conferences in 2020 and 2021, the award was received only today.
