Housing opportunity at CIUP in Paris for doctoral candidates

If you are looking for accommodation during your research stay or studies in Paris, the Swiss Foundation welcomes you. Applications to join the Swiss contingent at the Cité Internationale Universitaire de Paris (CIUP) for the 2026–2027 academic year are now open. The application deadline is Friday, 5 June 2026 at 17:00.

The Swiss Foundation / Pavillon Le Corbusier, located within the Cité Internationale Universitaire de Paris (CIUP), offers 44 single rooms (16 m²), each equipped with a private bathroom.

Located 10 minutes from the centre of Paris, in the 14th arrondissement, the CIUP regroups 43 university residences in a 34-hectare wooded park. As such, it is a place to live, study and exchange ideas (conferences, debates), to enjoy culture (Théâtre de la Cité, exhibitions) and to practice sports (tennis courts, swimming pool).

The call for applications is now open, offering attractive accommodation options at the CIUP.

Application criteria

Applications are open to candidates who meet the following criteria:

  • Hold Swiss nationality or a Swiss C permit

  • Undertake a study or research stay of at least two months at a higher education or research institution in Paris or the Île-de-France region, or complete an internship as part of a study programme

  • Have completed at least three years of bachelor-level studies at a higher education institution
