HOBEL lab took active participation at the recent Indoor Air 2022 conference in Finland. Indoor Air 2022 the 17th International Conference of the International Society of Indoor Air Quality & Climate is organized by University of Eastern Finland together with Finnish Society of Indoor Air Quality and Climate which was originally founded to organize the Indoor Air 1993 conference.

HOBEL took active part at the conference with the following 6 technical presentation:

  • Performance comparison of radon passive and active sensors under different indoor aerosol conditions, by Joan Rey
  • Estimating the influence of outdoor air pollution on European natural ventilation potential, by Evangelos Belias
  • Optimal sensor placement for detecting personal exposures in static and dynamic office environments, by Seoyeon Yun
  • Inhalation intake fraction of particulate matter associated with human endogenous and exogenous emissions, by Marouane Merizak
  • Primary and secondary consequences of applications of ultraviolet air cleaners, by Dr. Tianren Wu
  • Nanocluster aerosol emissions from ozone reaction with human skin lipid compounds, by Dr. Shen Yang

In addition, Prof. Licina presented his work at 3 technical workshops:

  • The future of aerosol measurements – sponsored by STC 12
  • Low-cost sensors for VOC monitoring in indoor environments: Why, how and what?
  • Temperature – more than a thermodynamic state variable

Congratulations to HOBEL members for playing an important role in advancing the research on sustainable healthy building with a primary focus on indoor air quality!
