Carolina Osorio received the Graduate Student Best Paper Award from the Transportation Research Forum. 

Carolina Osorio received the Graduate Student Best Paper Award from the Transportation Research Forum (TRF) during the annual meeting that took place in Long Beach, California, March 10-12, 2011 for the paper "A simulation-based optimization framework for urban traffic control". Carolina did her PhD thesis entitled "Mitigating network congestion : analytical models, optimization methods and their applications" in the Transport and Mobility Laboratory under the supervision of Michel Bierlaire. She graduated on April 2010, and is now an assistant professor at the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department at MIT.
