EPFL finance group reinforces its collaboration with Princeton
The EPFL finance group within the Centre Universitaire Lausannois en Finance (CULF) has hosted the first Princeton-Lausanne (P&L) Workshop.
With the objective to foster the collaboration and interaction among leading groups of researchers in quantitative finance from Princeton University, EPFL and the University of Lausanne (UNIL), the EPFL finance group within the Centre Universitaire Lausannois en Finance (CULF) has hosted the first Princeton-Lausanne (P&L) Workshop on May 13 and 14. The first of a planned series of P&L Workshops, the event welcomed 25 participants from Lausanne and 8 researchers from Princeton University to discuss and exchange ideas on the latest developments in quantitative finance. The workshop also offered a platform for junior scientists and PhD students to present their research and to establish contacts in Princeton, specifically in the Bendheim Center for Finance.
With lively discussions on cutting-edge topics in finance, such as carbon dioxide emission trading schemes, optimal security design for insurance risk, asset price puzzles, information percolation in social networks, volatility and interest rate risk trading, the workshop was a full success.
The next P&L workshop is already being planned and will take place in Princeton within the next 18 months.
