ENAC welcomes the opportunity to join CIS and develop projects with colleagues across the campus that bring robotics and artificial intelligence to sensing, management and operation of the natural and built environment.

ENAC - School of Architecture, Civil and Environmental Engineering is particularly excited to develop collaborations between CIS and interdisciplinary initiatives for a sustainable future that are currently put in place by ENAC. These comprise ENAC research clusters in the areas of Digitalisation of Infrastructure and Cities and Sustainable Territories, which aim at increasing the sustainability of designing, operating and maintaining buildings, infrastructures and systems in urban territories. Both clusters build on technologies that are at the interface to the CIS, including new sensing and data-driven technologies and digital twins at all scales.

In addition, ENAC is involved in the formation of a centre between EPFL and UNIL addressing challenges around climate change through anticipation, mitigation and adaptation. This initiative aims at developing an observatory and test-beds where real solutions for sensing and mitigation technologies can be directly deployed.
