CNRS Scientist and senior researcher in Prof O. Blanke Laboratory, Nathan Faivre will start his ERC project "The motor hypothesis for self-monitoring: A new framework to understand and treat metacognitive failures." in 2019 in collaboration with the CNP.

The European Research Council (ERC) has awarded a Starting Grant to Nathan Faivre, CNRS scientist and visiting scientist at the Laboratory of Cognitive Neuroscience of Prof Olaf Blanke. Nathan’s project aims at studying metacognition, defined as the capacity to introspect and report one’s own mental states. He and his team will use psychophysics, electrophysiology, and computational modeling to unravel the mechanisms enabling metacognition, and develop a new remediation procedure to tackle metacognitive deficits in schizophrenia.

Nathan joined the LNCO in 2014, and was an EPFL Fellow co-funded by EU. Marie Skłodowska-Curie until 2016.

The ERC project will start early 2019, hosted by CNRS and in collaboration with EPFL.
