Any organization, private or public, is driven by three types of flow: the physical flows or "materials / resources" flows, the logical flows or information flows and the financial flows. Corrective actions are almost always focused in priority on physical flows and financial flows. In the overwhelming majority
cases, the "problems" are linked to the flows of information. They not only impact operational costs but also and especially the level and quality of service to
clients, to patients in the specific field of health.

The Electronic Health Record (EHR) is one of the necessary and fundamental conditions to the success of the digitalization of health organizations and in particular hospitals. The EHR must be unique, secure and updated in real time. It must be generalized and shared throughout the patient's life, whatever the health organization contractor. It is thus the first fundamental brick of the hospitals' transformations in particular (Hospital 4.0 compared to Industry 4.0) and of the health system in general.
