The publication of Luca on the co-encapsulation of juvenile porcine islets and mesenchymal stromal cells, in collaboration with the team of Léo Bühler at the University of Fribourg, is online in Xenotransplantation (https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.1111/xen.12666).
This joint study shows the potential of pluripotent mesenchymal stromal cells to improve the insulin secretion capacity of juvenile procine islet cell clusters.
