Together with two former IIPP (Chair of Innovation and IP Policy) postdocs, who are now assistant professors in Italy and the Netherlands, Prof. de Rassenfosse has set up REGIS, a pan-European virtual reading group focusing on topics in Science, Technology and Innovation.

REGIS’ main objectives are twofold. First, it seeks to train young scholars by discussing in a friendly and stimulating environment some of the most relevant and recent papers in the field. It exposes students to new developments and helps them develop their critical thinking skills. Second, it aims at nurturing a community of young scholars interested in such topics.

Besides the three lead organizers, there are ten country representatives, from Norway to Turkey, tasked with mobilizing their local communities to participate. The reading group, which was officially launched on October 1st 2021, has been very successful, attracting about 50 students to each Zoom session.
