BILAN - Editorial of Marilyne Andersen for the Housing supplement

Marilyne Andersen was approached by the magazine BILAN for a column in its thematic supplement of August 2017.
This supplement addresses contemporary housing environments. Marilyne Andersen underlines in this column the subject of sustainability as an integral part of the needs for today's built environment and the necessity of reconciling it with the architectural quality of a project. She speaks about the challenges that emerge ahead of the project in the effort of addressing the energy and environmental aspects as well as the occupants’ expectations and needs in a way that is profoundly integrated into the poetry expected from architecture.
She also talks about the opportunities offered by today's technological advances, particularly in terms of modeling, so that this integration becomes convincing, or simply possible: reflections that are at the heart of research conducted at LIPID.
