Beyond architecture
The architectural approach of Bauart, of which Professor Emmanuel Rey of the Laboratory of Architecture and Sustainable Technologies (LAST) is a partner, has been published by the Editors Stämpfli. Entitled "Bauart, beyond architecture", this book results of a original collaboration with the journalist Walter Däpp, who wrote a series of texts presenting the numerous challenges that architecture meets today.
During two years, Walter Däpp, journalist for "Der Bund" and regular author of "Morning stories" at the Swiss German radio DRS 1, was invited by Bauart to immerse himself amongst the office collaborators. By doing so, he produced a series of original contributions on profound, mysterious, surprising, challenging or exemplary aspects of the architecture.
Following this experience, the editors Stämpfli publish today a compilation set of eight booklets in French and in German, illustrated with artistic contributions by Beatrice Gysin, Sebastian Stumpf, Michel Sauer, Ruedi Walti, Chantal Michel, Vaclav Pozarek, David Aebi and Tonatiuh Ambrosetti.
