Four Engineering Professors, Including Two in BioE, Honored by IEEE

Four professors from the School of Engineering (STI), two of whom (Ijspeert, Van De Ville) in the Institute of Bioengineering, have earned the prestigious title of 2020 IEEE Fellows. IEEE is the world's largest technical professional organization dedicated to advancing technology for the benefit of humanity. IEEE Fellow is a distinction reserved for select IEEE members whose extraordinary accomplishments in any of the IEEE fields of interest are deemed fitting of this prestigious grade elevation.

Aude Billard of the Learning algorithms and systems Laboratory
for contributions to robot task learning and programming by human demonstration

Touradj Ebrahimi of the Multimedia Signal Processing Group
for contributions to visual information representation and assessment of quality of experience in multimedia

Auke Ijspeert of the Biorobotics Laboratory
for contributions to biorobotics for locomotion

Dimitri Van De Ville of the Medical Image Processing Laboratory
for contribution to image processing for computational brain imaging
