GEM, in collaboration with co-workers from various other Universities, has recently published 3 related papers on the topic of water electrolysis using anionic exchange membranes.

In Paper 1 (link), the emphasis is on using a combination of electrochemical techniques to separate the various relevant losses in such an electrolyser.

In Paper 2 (link), this loss attribution is further applied to a kW-size electrolyser stack, for the first time.

Paper 3 (link) proposes a review of anionic exchange membranes, at the heart of this new technology.

Paper 1 was also selected as cover for the Journal Energy & Fuels (see picture)
