Room BC 420, EPFL Campus

The Seed Money Program of the Cooperation and Development Center (CODEV) was established in 2005 aiming at encouraging scientific cooperation with partners in the global South through grants awarded in a competitive annual call.

With nine calls launched so far (2006-2014), the program has funded 73 projects from EPFL researchers with partners in more than 30 different countries in Africa, Asia, Latin America and Eastern Europe with a total of 721’412 CHF granted so far. The projects have promoted technology applications responding to the needs of local communities in Southern countries.

During this first Seed Money Conference, the results achieved and impact generated by the funded projects will be presented, and the overall experience of EPFL researchers and their partners participating in the program will be discussed. Also, the Seed Money Call 2015 will be officially launched.
