Successful event of the Swiss Logistics' Forum on Lean Managament

The 14th "Forum Suisse de Logistique", co-organized by Prof. Philippe Wieser, was held on November 5th at the Rolex Learning Center at EPFL and was about "Lean Management - Tools and excellence methods of the value chain".
This year, more than 160 persons came to participate in this Forum, bringing together Swiss professionals such as head of purchaising & sales, marketing experts, head of communications and software providers.
The objectives of the day were:
- To show the impact of technological and organizational innovations in the Supply Chain
- To exchanging best practices through different areas of the supply chain and businesses
- To allow the exchange of innovative ideas and create a synergy between the transverse areas of Supply Chain
- To discover approaches to different areas for the exchange of innovative ideas from applications other than logistics
The presentations have aimed at showing by practical and concrete examples the incidence of these innovations, in terms of benefits and constraints, on the functions of the Supply Chain today and in the short and medium term.
