Safe and realiable power distribution networks
Power Electronics Laboratory has entered into research collaboration with Hyundai Heavy Industries from the Republic of Korea on a research topic related to protection coordination in MVDC distribution systems. Various MVDC power distribution networks have been proposed for different applications without support of effective and reliable protection schemes. Through a collaborative effort we will develop integrated protection schemes for safe and realiable DC systems. Hyundai Heavy Industries is the largest shipbuilding company in the world and one of the biggest electrical machinery manufacturer in the Republic of Korea.
