GimBall at TechFest 2014, IIT Bombay India

Ludovic Daler and Przemyslaw Kornatowski were invited at the TechFest 2014 to demonstrate the GimBall flying robot.
The TechFest at IIT Bombay is the largest Science and Technology festival in Asia, with more than 100’000 visitors. The GimBall flying robot has been demonstrated during the three days of the festival, from the 3rd of January to the 5th.
The GimBall was exhibited in a large booth of approximately 4x3 meters allowing more or less 20 people at the same time to see the demos. The demo was very much liked by the crowd, every visitors wanted to see a live demo of the flying robot. In total, approximately 400 flight demos per days were presented, bringing the total number of people who have seen the demo to more than 20’000! The GimBall flying robot managed to fly almost continuously during the 3 days of the festival without damage, demonstrating its great robustness to collisions with its environment.
