Prof. de Rassenfosse has delivered a presentation at the Darden & Cambridge Judge Entrepreneurship and Innovation Research Conference. Founded by Darden's Batten Institute for entrepreneurship and innovation at the University of Virginia, the conference was hosted by Judge Business School at the University of Cambridge.

Prof. de Rassenfosse presented a paper on the link between inventor productivity and mobility. Previous studies have reported evidence of a causal link between productivity and mobility but the mechanisms through which the effect operates are still the subject of speculation. Prof. de Rassenfosse provided evidence that part of the productivity gains could be explained by what he calls ‘knowledge fit’, that is, the extent to which an inventor’s knowledge fits with the knowledge base of the hiring company. The paper is coauthored with Karin Hoisl from Max Planck Institute for Innovation and Competition in Munich.

Other hand-picked speakers came from top universities around the world, including Stanford, McGill, University College London, University of North Carolina, National University of Singapore, and INSEAD to name but a few.
