Bring together professionals and students to bridge the wide gap between the experimental data on neuroscience and the conceptual understanding of the brain phenomena.
The Indo Swiss Joint Research Program (ISJRP) hosted by the Cooperation & Development Center (CODEV) at EPFL supports the Inter-regional School on Computational and Theoretical Neuroscience at Hyderabad, co-organised by the Asia Pacific Regional Council (APRC) of the International Brain Research Organisation (IBRO) together with the Western European Regional Council (WERC) and the African Regional Council (ARC).
A collaborative network on neurosciences
The central idea behind this School is to set up a collaborative network between 10-15 early career researchers (at Masters or Doctoral level) and researchers from institutions pursuing neuroscience at an advanced level from the different regions.
This school will concentrate on computational and theoretical neuroscience with a focus on learning, memory and allied aspects related to cognition. Professors Pierre Magistretti and Davor Pavuna from EPFL are keynote speakers at this event taking place in Hyderabad from 5-21 December 2012.
