The Brain Awareness week will take place in Lausanne on March 8-18, 2012.

Brain Awareness Week (BAW) is a nationwide effort to promote the public and personal benefits of brain research. Every March, BAW unites the efforts of universities, hospitals, patient groups, government agencies, schools, service organizations, and professional associations worldwide in a week-long celebration of the brain.

Public forums and inaugural lecture, meetings and exhibition at the Espace des Inventions, Open Doors in neurorehabilitation, workshops at Micropolis or movie night at the Cinémathèque Suisse will provide opportunities for the general public to meet neuroscientists. Information booths on various diseases affecting the brain will be held by patients associations at the Auditoire César Roux, CHUV.

Organized by the Dana Alliance for Brain Initiatives and the Society for Neuroscience.
