Appu Shaji selected as one of the Venture Leaders of Switzerland

Appu Shaji, who founded and leads the startup Sight.IO, was selected as one of the Venture Leaders of Switzerland for 2013.
The program is focused on startups to enable optimal training and a valuable international network. About 130 candidates have applied this year and 20 were selected to participate in a business development program that will take place this June in Boston, MA.
Sight.IO is a spin-off from the Image and Visual Representation Group (IVRG) at EPFL, and was founded to continue research work that has been done in the lab. Sight.IO’s photo ranking engine automatically sorts photographs on the basis of their aesthetic beauty and composition. The tool will be available as a mobile app and as a programming interface.
