The team Minoropus, made up by Roger Küng, Georgios Christodoulou, Jérémie Rappaz and Jérémy Rabasco, represented IEEE Student Branch and EPFL at Hack Zurick 2014, 10-12 October, and won the third prize with their project.

Hack Zurich is the largest hackathon organized so far in Switzerland. It envolved more than 300 young tech enthusiasts from all over Europe that came to Zurich for a weekend of creating and learning. Organized in 101 teams, the participants created web, mobile, or hardware applications during a 40 hours non-stop hacking marathon.

Minoropus developed their idea as a video game with the main goal to engage kids in thinking like a computer scientist by playfully introducing them to the concepts with a goal driven competitive game. The demonstration of the project can be seen in the following youtube clip.

Hoping in a further development of these kind of hackathons in Switzerland, we congratulate our team for their courage, energy and passion!
