The EPFL Center for Imaging raised 800kCHF to foster projects that aim at accelerating the diffusion of imaging technology to non-expert users.

The EPFL Center for Imaging successfully raised more than 800kCHF in 2022 for four projects that aim at accelerating the diffusion of imaging technology to non-expert users. This funding will help further develop useful resources for open imaging: an online platform to quickly find imaging software produced by Swiss research groups; standardized pipelines for facilitating the use of numerical imaging tools by pathologists; and an open-source Python framework for computational imaging (Pycsou). These collaborative projects will involve scientists from the EPFL Center for Imaging, several EPFL laboratories, and various partner institutions in Switzerland (CHUV, SDSC, PSI, ETHZ). The four grants were obtained through the 7th PHRT Call, the 2022 ORD Explore Call, the 2022 ORD Contribute Call, and the Meta 2022 AI4AI Research Request for Proposals.
